You did an excellent job with this article Tze Lin. I like your multiple us of MINDFUL. It wasn't repetitive it was necessary because many of us are addicted to mindless scrolling. I once was addicted to social media. I'm not anymore. I'll honest the algorithm stop showing me love. On one of my main IG accounts I have almost 600 followers and I would be lucky to get one or two likes. It seems like no one even sees my posts. Same on FB as well. The Dopamine is when people are liking and engaging with your posts. That's how you slip into the infinity pool that never ends. I use to have screen time of 7 and 8 hours. That's way too much time scrolling. What cured me from my addiction to those apps is meaningful activities elsewhere. Writing and engaging on Medium is way more productive. I'm back to making music which takes up more of my time. It's so much fun and productive. Taking walks changed me. It normalizes taking me time and unplugging. Sleep. Getting quality sleep of 7 to 8 is better than being on SM all day. You will lose a lot of sleep being on social media. Working on myself and investing led me away from the mindless scroll. Now social media it what it is. A pasttime that I can control that doesn't drain my day or life . It's time for us all to be honest with the addiction so we can be set free. Great job.
