The Greatest Gift From a Reader to a Writer

I hope all of you are having a magnificent New Year. I inspired this today because I thought about how grateful I am to have readers. It takes time to read someone’s work; we all know time is money. It doesn’t even matter if those readers are writers, too. So what. A reader is a reader, and I think it’s unique to have a fellow writer reading your work because we’re like minds who understand each other.

When readers comment on our stories, we see how they see our pieces in a new light. We may even see things that we didn’t even see. Every now and then, a writer who’s my reader too summarizes my article or poem better than I could have.

That makes me feel good. They take my words and experiences and add their ingredients and perceptions to the recipe.

That’s the whole design of life itself. A man and woman add a piece of each other to create a new being. That’s what readers and writers are for each other. It’s a symbiosis. Most writers I read know I may write a separate article in their comment section. I’m just invested and fully engrossed in your story. I appreciate readers, and I enjoy reading.
