Shannon I really appreciate this article. It’s honest and not in a mean-spirited way. I was once much of this list that you’ve wrote. Probably more than half of it. I’ve had a life of short relationships and a divorce. Surprise! Lol I didn’t understand why things would always fizzle out. There’s only so many times you can blame the woman and it comes a time that guys like myself and the ones you speak of have to step away, be alone, self reflect and take accountability for our lives. Worshipping a woman cannot be your entire life and on the other hand you can’t be so wrapped up in self you alienate her from having a part in your life. Balance. I didn’t have a strong male figure to get what I needed as a man. My mother did the best she could but men really need men mentors. A father or father figure would be helpful. Everything you wrote is truthful. I can handle it and guess what? It still stings and it’s supposed to. Change is suppose to be a bit uncomfortable. Every boy and man should swallow their pride and read and receive this wisdom. Especially if you’ve fallen in the nice guy friend zone category. I’ve come a long way and I always leave some more space to grow. Thanks for this.
