I think people who ghost others are cowards. Male and female. I've had to block some for bringing toxicity into my life but I never ghost a friend I have good conversation with.

Rejection is a very sore soot for me and it's rare you'll see me write about it. It hardened me and I've become withdrawn and indifferent about it.

I had a FB friend that I adored and thought the world of. It probably was a crush too. I offered nothing good conversation to get via messages. Insight, art, hopes and we both had a love for God. Long story short our messages became more one sided and her responses became shorter and shorter.

One day all of her social media accounts disappeared For years I thought she just quit social media. Then I thought no one quits SM for 4 years. I needed closure. I have access to an account I created for someone. I logged in to find out.
Typed in her name and guess what? Her name popped up. Oh, there she is. She didn't take a break from social media. She blocked me.

Yes it hurt. Rejection hurts. I was blocked for just being myself and you start feeling not good enough. I never told this story. Why? It makes me uncomfortable. Why not write an article or why didn't I share this in a public forum? I wasn't ready. Also mice guy cliche responses make me cringe. " You'll find the right woman one day" " You were too good for her" " You're a good guy". You get the point.

Yana many guys can't handle platonic, " pen pal" or friend zone relationships with women. Once you say you have a boyfriend the mystery, excitement and hope of something romantic happening is dead. Maybe guys are delusional. Who knows.

I personally can handle female friends without expectation. Why? I don't chase and I've survived alone. So women can feel safe it'll go no further than email and messages. The virtual zone. That story I revealed? That's never happening to me again. That's a promise.
