Hey Tiffany your articles are always thought provoking. I'll tell you something that may be surprising. I'm divorced and I rather take advice from you than these other wanna be gurus. A young lady who's never been married. I'm assuming you're a millennial because my little sis is 30. Your generation is smart and I have huge admiration for many of you. You're creating your own destinies and are not blindly accepting traditions passed down from baby boomers and my generation X. I respect that.

When I got married on New Years Eve /day 2009/2010 I had no idea what I was doing. I felt like I was just getting married because I was supposed to get married. She definitely came out of nowhere and I felt a stability with her. My ex wife played the role of wife to perfection until that role didn't serve her (with me) anymore. There were so many red flags I ignored because I just didn't have the wisdom the time.

She ended a marriage so she can marry me. Then when we were divorced the printer ink wasn't even dry yet on the paperwork before she remarried. Guess when she remarried?Yep. New Years day. Hey, God bless her. To seal this we were married my Mother and then husband. Their marriage was LITERALLY falling apart while they married us. I have the wedding pictures to prove the disdain she had for him. Uh...thanks? 😂🤣😂 Need I say more? No.

Here's the good news. God is good. I'm blessed and I'm here. Life is the best teacher you can ever have. I'm not a bitter man either. I'm free indeed. I have the most love, respect and reverence for women I've ever had. I know my value and I don't fall for the okey doke. I find comfort in that I know nothing about marriage. I'm not giving any advice either. I'm just going with the flow. Doing what's best for me!
