First of all excellent article. I liked how you explored not only your stance on this issue but you explored what your friend could've been feeling. I commend you for that.

This is boundary issue and it's your responsibility to set them. People say things like this when they are too comfortable in your life and space. A woman's or a man's plans with their reproductive functions should only be a conversation had with a doctor or the partner you plan on having kids or no kids with. That's it.

Your friend was doing too much. That was an awkward and inappropriate conversation to have with you to have. Now if was just opening up about his personal thoughts about HIM having kids cool. Once he inserts you and your....you know it's boundary time. I think the laughing threw him off. In the future a direct I respectfully don't want to have this conversation needs to be said for people like that. If they get offended oh well. You respectfully in a way hinted to minding your business and don't tell me what to do by doing that

Hey, I can relate because my father have said on multiple conversations about getting grandchildren from me. It seems like that was more about him. He wasn't even a consistent figure in my life but he wants grandkids. Come on dude. He has my sister's kids so he'll be alright.

I even had a " friend" make a comment about me not having kids was I shooting blanks. Like WTF? People ain't shit.

Look it's simple. If you're a man that wants kids there's plenty of women who want traditional lifestyle and kids. Find them. The women who don't want kids leave them be. It's none of your business. Be concerned with your own fruitfulness.

I'm with you on this one.
